MEET: Arrange your own carpools to the trailhead. We will meet at 8:00AM. The lot fills up after 8:00 so get there early. We will disperse the crew gear and food at the trailhead. We will return to trailhead Sunday morning at 11:00: A.M.

MEALS: Bring your own trail lunch Saturday, dinner will be provided Saturday night (Philmont style), bring your own breakfast bars, instant oatmeal, cocoa for breakfast.
Saturday’s dinner will be prepared by individual crews. Crews will be announced Tuesday night October 26th by email.

It might be cold (40 degrees) at night, be prepared with long johns and a beanie hat to sleep in, a good sleeping bag, a jacket and gloves. Of course always bring your rain gear! BE PREPARED. You might want to bring a day pack for the trip to Ontario Peak. Dr. Snaer is always available to discuss equipment. Call him at 626 840-7702 or email snaer@earthlink.net if you have any questions.

Any cars parking at Icehouse Canyon will need a National Forest Adventure Pass available at your sporting goods store (REI, Sports Chalet). You can also get an Adventure Pass at the Baldy Village Ranger Station (see below).

Directions to the Trailhead: Take the 210 east and exit on Baseline Road (exit 52). Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp on to Baseline Road. Make the next right on to Padua Avenue. Drive 1.7 miles and turn right onto Mount Baldy Road. Pass through Mount Baldy Village and pickup a permit at the ranger station. One and a half miles later, turn right on Icehouse Canyon Road and pull into the trailhead parking lot on the left side of the road
