SUMMARY:Cycling Merit Badge 50 Mile Ride
DESCRIPTION:Hello Troop 355\, \nAs we wind down to our last few rides this season\, I wanted to send out details about the upcoming 50 mile organized bike tour to complete the road biking requirement.  More details will follow\, but we have selected Sunday\, Nov 27 since planning such a long ride takes some coordination and there are a few families who have offered to help provide support along the route. \nThe “round trip” course begins at Zuma/ Malibu to Pt. Hueneme in Ventura County and back.  All cyclists are welcome to join the troop on our longest and merit badge required ride of this cycling season. \nWe will ride along Pacific Coast Hwy from the designated location at 7:30 a.m. sharp.  Free parking along PCH.  We should finish around 12:30 returning to the same location.  This ride meets the 50 mile required ride for the merit badge\, and for those scouts who have earned the merit badge in the past\, this can be a great way to earn the National Outdoor Award Riding Badge requiring a minimum of 200 miles of riding.
