SUMMARY:Citizenship in the Nation - Class 3 of 3ONLINE
DESCRIPTION:Our final class session for Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge will be Monday evening April 20 at 6:30 p.m.  Mr. Reiling will send a troop email invite to the Zoom meeting\, please follow those instructions to log on. \nAs we have discussed\, the only requirement we need to complete is the speech requirement (#6).  Every scout who wishes will have a chance to read a paragraph or a few sentences from the speech they have chosen (a speech of national historical importance)\, then explain why is important and how it may apply today.  Those who participate will get checked off for Requirement 6\, and if they have kept up with the requirements\, will complete the badge.  If you don’t wish to read your speech on Zoom\, you can let me know via email and we’ll figure out another way you can get this completed.  If you miss this requirement or are behind on some of the other requirements\, you can make them up later and still complete the badge – I will be happy to work with you after April 20 to get any remaining requirements completed (via email or phone conference).  \nHopefully a bunch of you will be able to participate at the meeting\, it should be a fun way to finish this badge. \nWe would like to finish early so the scouts can take a break before logging in to the troop meeting at 7:30\, so we will try to move quickly and ask everyone to limit their talking time to 1-2 minutes each. \nHope to see you on Zoom!
