DESCRIPTION:On Sunday morning August 25 we will hike 10 miles to Sturtevant Camp and Mt. Zion in the Big Santa Anita Canyon. This hike partially fulfills the requirements for Hiking Merit Badge. \nTrailhead: Chantry Flats\, Upper Parking Lot (Santa Anita Avenue north into the mountains)www.bigsantaanitacanyon.com/BSACdirections.htmDistance: 10 milesStart Time: 7 a.m. Finish: Approx. 12:30 p.m. \nBring 2 liters of water and high carbohydrate snacks consisting of approximately 800 calories. Scouts and adults must have previous hiking or backpacking experience or the equivalent conditioning.
