Families nowadays come in many shapes and sizes\, but core values such as respecting other members of a family and positively contributing to a family are important no matter what a particular family is. \n When are the Family Life Merit Badge course meetings \nThere are three meetings that each scout must attend: \n· * September 22\, 2014\, 6:30 pm \n· * November 17\, 2014\, 6:30 pm \n· * January 12\, 2015\, 6:30 pm \nThe meetings are held at the Boy Scout House at Lacy Park and are about one hour long. \n In addition\, there are other requirements to be accomplished at home over the course of about 3 months\, including performing a list of family chores\, organizing and carrying out a family project\, and conducting a family meeting. \n Is the Family Life Merit Badge required? \nYes\, the Family Life Merit Badge is an “Eagle Scout” required merit badge. \n Can any scout earn the Family Merit Badge and attend the course meetings? \nAny scout of any age or rank can participate and earn the Family Life Merit Badge. \nWhat does the Scout need to bring to the first Family Life Merit Badge meeting? \nEach scout should bring his Boy Scout Handbook and the “Family Life Merit Badge Worksheet” which can be found at http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/Family-Life.pdf (PDF version) or http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Merit_Badge_Worksheets (MS Word version). If the scout wishes to type his responses on a computer\, the scout may wish to download the MS Word version and save it on his computer and complete it over time. \nWhat should the scout wear at the Family Life Merit Badge meetings? \nThe scouts are to wear their scout uniforms at the meetings. The meetings are scheduled to occur one hour before the regular weekly scout meetings. \nMore questions? \nSend an email to: \nBill Brody”
