SUMMARY:Cooking Merit Badge Information Session - Click for Details
DESCRIPTION:Starting January 2014 all Scouts who have not earned thier Eagle rank by January 1\, 2014 will be required to obtain the Cooking Merit Badge as a part of their Eagle required badges.  Come to this session to learn more about the Cooking Merit Badge and the current requirements.  The Troop Leadership is still anticipating that these requirements may be modifed by BSA nationally and will keep the troop updated as inforamtion is availabel.  This is a valuable session so that Scouts can begin to track these requirements.

SUMMARY:Introductory Backpack Trip to Cooper Canyon - Click for Details
DESCRIPTION:Schedule start time TBD (assume early AM departure on Saturday and mid-afternoon return on Sunday). \nThis is a great trip for first time backpackers – and seasoned backpackers will enjoy it as well! Mr. Chase has commented in the past ‘if you can carry a duffle bag\, you can do this trip!’  \nThe hike is 2.7 miles each way on the Burkhart and Pacific Crest Trails.  It is as flat a hike as you are going to get in the Angeles National Forest with a net loss of 250 feet in elevation on the hike to camp.  \nSign-ups will occur in late September.
