DESCRIPTION:Schedule start time TBD (assume early AM departure on Saturday and mid-afternoon return on Sunday). \nThis is a great trip for first time backpackers – and seasoned backpackers will enjoy it as well! Mr. Chase has commented in the past ‘if you can carry a duffle bag\, you can do this trip!’  \nThe hike is 2.7 miles each way on the Burkhart and Pacific Crest Trails.  It is as flat a hike as you are going to get in the Angeles National Forest with a net loss of 250 feet in elevation on the hike to camp.  \nSign-ups will occur in late September.

We will be taking down an existing wooden fencing\, laying some concrete to strengthen metal poles and then replacing the fencing. Scouts should meet at the administration circle to sign in with Hillsides. Tentatively\, from 8am-4pm on all three dates. Scouts should dress in comfortable work clothes. DESCRIPTION:I will be constructing 15 8’ x 3’ tables for the Childrens’ Hospital Guild of Pasadena’s annual Treasures and Trivia sale.  Volunteers will be sanding and staining the tabletops and affixing folding table legs.My project will take place on Saturday\, September 21st  from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm\,Sunday\, September 22nd from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm\, and Sunday\, September 29th from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. We may also work on Saturday\, October 5th if necessary.Please wear work clothes and closed toe shoes. There will be sanding involved so some of you may want to bring gloves.Work will take place at 2200 Orlando Road\, San Marino. Food will be provided.Community service hours will be available. Check with your school office. These hour can count for both high school and Boy Scouts.
