I sent a preliminary email earlier and here is the follow-up on my Eagle Project. \nLocation: DayOne in Pasadena (on Euclid Ave. between Walnut St. and Ramona St. – right next to the Pasadena City Hall) \nWhat is DayOne and what do they do? DayOne is an organization that assists and helps to foster youth in the community. It provides support services\, tutoring and classes\, and much more through youth groups. It is a very important organization in the Pasadena area and my school (Polytechnic) is affiliated with it through tutoring.  Here is their website: http://www.dayonepasadena.com/ \nWhen: Weekend of August 20th     Saturday: 9AM – 4PM     Sunday: 9AM – 4PM \nWhat we will be doing: Currently the facilities at DayOne are in need of dire renovation. We are going to be helping to repair a ramp that leads up the entrance of the trailer. The wood is decomposing and causing holes to form in the ramp\, rendering it unusable. We will remove the plywood boards that are falling apart\, install new ones\, reinstall the railing that has been coming off\, and finally\, painting everything. \nWhat to bring: Sturdy\, close-toed shoes and clothes that you are not afraid to get dirty. If you have leather gloves and any kind of eye protection\, please bring those also.   \nAs is custom\, I will be providing donuts in the morning\, lunch\, as well as snacks and liquids throughout the day. DESCRIPTION:To all Troop 355 Scouts:This coming Friday I will be working on my Eagle Service Project at Descanso Gardens in LaCanada and I’m asking for your help. The project consists of two steps\, first we will be removing the ivy that has grown around a stream in the gardens. Next\, we will place a layer of wood chips to preserve the work we have done. My goal is to get between ten to fifteen guys to help with the project. With that number we will certainly finish in one day.When: Friday\, July 29th. Please arrive between 7:45 to 8:00 AM. We will break for lunch at noon and continue working until about four.Where:Descanso Gardens1418 Descanso DriveLa Cañada Flintridge\, CA 91011Signs will be posted to help direct you to the project location within the gardens. \nDetails:-Pizza lunch\, drinks\, and water will be provided by my family.-If you have work/gardening gloves\, please bring them. This includes sanding\, cleaning\, painting\, and staining the chairs.   \nWhen: Friday July 22 and Saturday July 23 (Sunday July 24 if needed)            Time: 9am-3pm            Where: My house ~ 2275 Melville Dr. San Marino\, Ca ~ 626 244-4124            What to wear:  Clothes that can get paint on them.  Also a hat because we will be outside.            Food: Lunch\, sodas\, and water will be provided \nPlease e-mail me if you can help with my project. DESCRIPTION:Salesmanship Merit Badge \nWe are fortunate to have Mr. Jeff Riemers lead the Salesmanship Merit Badge again this year.  Mr. Riemers will teach the class in two sessions.  Scouts must attend both sessions to earn the badge.  First\, will be a classroom session on Saturday\, July 2 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Scout House.  No uniform is required for the Saturday class.  The second session is a field experience to sell red\, white and blue glow necklaces at Lacy Park.  The glow necklace sales will be from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in Lacy Park before the fireworks.  Class A uniform is required.  No sash please.  Our meeting location for the glow necklace sales will be announced during the class room session on Saturday.  If you have already RSVP’d\, there is no need to reply to this message.  Mr. Riemers will send final instructions later.
