One night of car camping Saturday, February 11-12, 2023
Troop 355 is going primitive in Anza Borrego State Park.
This is a trip we have only done once before and it is an Adventure!
Anza Borrego State Park is north of San Diego County. It is the largest state
park in California with more than 1,000 square mile and over 650,000 acres.
It is famous for many things: wild flowers in the spring, great hiking and camping,
majestic views, stargazing, and abundant wildlife. There is a rich history of native americans
that lived in the area and many artifacts and rock art remain for us to see today.
We will go into the badlands and check out some of the hard to reach areas with
California Overland Desert Excursions on Sunday morning February 12th.
We will travel in a military troop carrier to some of the park’s greatest features.
